Is it hard to be a Christian? “No, not at all,” some would say. Others may say, “Yes, of course it hard to be a Christian.”

What’s my answer?  Yes at times it’s hard to be a Christian.  Of course it is! If not, why would Jesus think it necessary to stress the importance of counting the cost before a person decides to follow after Him? Luke 14:28-33.

But I know this with absolute certainty.  There is nothing God will ever expect me to do that could be any harder than it was for Christ to go to the cross and die for me. Sometimes it may be hard to do the right thing. But if I love God as I ought, I will demonstrate that love by doing the right thing, even when it’s hard.
