Whatever circumstances we may find ourselves in, the Lord is always thinking of us. Consider the comforting chorus – “The Lord has been mindful of me! He blesses and blesses again! My God is the God of the living! How excellent is his name.”

No matter what happens to the price of groceries, I’ll always have something to eat. No matter how high interest rates may climb, I’ll always have a place to call home. No matter what trials I may encounter, I’ll always be on God’s mind. He’ll always be there to shelter me through the storms of life. Whatever adversity I may face, I’ll always serve a God who cares for me and is able to provide the help I need.

No wonder the song includes the words, “I’m rich! I am saved! I am happy!” Without a doubt or hint of uncertainty, my God is the God of the living! How excellent is his name.
