Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Genesis 6:8. How so? Was Noah expected to merely believe God, and thus be saved? Was that all? Oh no. God saved Noah by grace by telling Noah what to do to be saved. Noah was saved, by God’s grace, when he acted on God’s command and did what God told him to do. Don’t believe it because I said it. Read Genesis 6:13-22 along with Hebrews 11:7.
It’s the same way for us today. We are saved by God’s grace. Ephesians 2:8-10. How so? Merely by believing God and thus be saved? Is that all? Oh no. Like Noah, God has told us what to do to be saved. We are saved when we do what those on the day of Pentecost do – Repent and be baptized to receive the forgiveness of our sin. Acts 2:38. We are saved when we act on God’s command and do what He has told us to do. Have you done what God has told you to do.
