Occasionally we hear of two countries negotiating for peace. Who doesn’t want peace?
More importantly, who doesn’t want peace with God? Our sins have created conflict between us and God. Because of sin, our relationship with God is filled with trouble and strife. Peace is possible. Christ’s blood is able to remove the conflict and strife in our relationship. Colossians 1:19-20.
In this peace, there is no negotiating process. We come to God on His terms. For someone who has never become a Christian, that means believing that Christ is the Son of God who gave His life for you. John 8:24. It means repenting of your sin and confessing your faith in Christ. Luke 13:3 along with Romans 10:9. It means receiving forgiveness of your sin by being baptized into Christ. Acts 22:16. If you’re already a Christian but need to find peace between you and God it means going to God with a pentitent heart and asking for His forgiveness. I John 1:9.
How about you? Are you at peace with God?
