Never Forfeit Your Salvation!

It is possible for a Christian to forfeit his salvation.  No where is this more evident than in the book of Hebrews.  “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.” Hebrews 3:12-14.

This text gives us four ways to prevent our falling away.  “Take heed” reminds us to give the necessary attention to our spiritual health. “Exhort one another” reminds us of the encouragement we can give to, and receive from, one another. “While it is called today” reminds us of the urgency of guarding our salvation.  And lastly, “unto the end” reminds us of the importance of finishing our race.

Hang in there, never give up, and stay the course!
