What is the worst thing that can happen to you? Lose your job? Lose your health?  Lose someone you love to death? These things can be bad, but they’re not the worst thing that can happen to you.  The worst thing would be to lose your soul, destined to spend eternity in the punishment of hell. “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” Mark 8:36.

Thankfully, no one has to be lost (although sadly, most will). We have a savior who loved us enough to sacrifice himself for us, making heaven a reality for those who will respond with an obedient faith. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21.
