What Will You Do With What You Have Learned?

It’s not uncommon to hear a parent ask their child, “What did you learn in Bible class today?” That’s a good question! As adults, we should probably be asking each other, “What did you learn in Bible class today?” But I would suggest taking it a step further. We should be asking one another, “What are you going to do with what you have learned? How will what you have learned change your life?”

God doesn’t want us to have a knowledge of His word simply for the sake of being more informed, or knowing more facts. Our character, our goals for life, our ambitions, our relationships with one another, our thoughts, should all be shaped, or molded by what we have learned. God’s word should truly change who and what we are! Our hearts should be filled with His word. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10.
