When it comes to religious matters, why do you believe what you believe? It sounds like a simple question, and it is. But different people will answer it differently. Some believe what they do because that’s the way they were reared. They’re simply following their parents’ beliefs. Some believe what they do because that’s what their spouse believes. Some believe what they do because that’s what their preacher has told them or it’s what their friends have influenced them to believe.
But none of these are good reasons for believing what you do. Your beliefs need to result from your own Bible study. Find out for yourself. Others, though well meaning, may steer you wrong and cause you to be lost. “So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:12. Don’t let someone else decide where you will spend eternity. Eternity it too long to be wrong
