In Luke 19:1-10, we read about Zaccheus.  The story of Zaccheus and his climbing a sycamore tree to see Jesus is one of the first Bible stories we teach our children. (I am using the word story to refer to an historical account of an actual event. It is NOT fiction.) The scriptures give us a progression in Zaccheus’ character, from sinner (verses 1-2), to seeker (verses 3-4) and eventually to Zaccheus the saved (verses 5-10).
