“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:30-31.

These words from Acts 17:30-31 compel us to ask several questions. First, who will be judged? Unless Christ comes back in our lifetime, we will die. Afterward, we will all be judged. “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,” Hebrews 9:27.

Second, who will be the judge? We will be judged by God, through the agency of His Son Jesus Christ. Acts 17:30-31 along with II Corinthians 5:10. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10.

Third, when will this day come? Jesus said no one knows except the Father in heaven. Matthew 24:36. Christ will come back unannounced, as a thief in the night. I Thessalonians 5:1-6.

Fourth, what will happen on that day? The world will come to an end. II Peter 3:10-12. We will all be judged. Revelation 20:11-14. A great separation will take place. Matthew 25:32-34. Eternity will begin and time will be no more.

Judgment day is coming. Are you ready?
