“When we advance a little into life, we find that the tongue of man creates nearly all the mischief of the world” (English clergyman, 1820 – 1885).  Truer words were never spoken!  Countless troubles arise when a person fails to restrain his tongue.  Friendships are damaged, relationships are wrecked, feelings are hurt, and reputations are marred – all because of lips left unguarded.  A man who has trouble keeping his words in check will have trouble keeping himself out of trouble!

“Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles” – Proverbs 21:23.
