Here we go again.  Many will be celebrating June as another pride month.  Wal Mart is apparently one of the latest companies to jump on the pride bandwagon.  This year, they will be selling their new “Pride Always” collection, including products like a notebook that says, “beyond gender,” a tote bag that says, “totes gay,” a fanny pack with “I heart gay people” on it and rainbow-colored products like a pool floatie and an apron. Wal Mart also sells a variety of pride clothing, several pride items in their toy department and a book title “The Hips on a Drag Queen Go Swish Swish Swish.”

Rather than be proud of homosexuality, we should recognize it as sin.  A sin that, unless repented of, will cause many to miss out on the beauty of heaven.  I Corinthians 6:9. Why is the homosexual lifestyle sinful?

First, it goes against nature.  “For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.” Romans 1:26-27.

Second, the homosexual lifestyle is sinful because it goes against God’s design for marriage. “So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Genesis 2:21-24.

God created two people; Adam (male) and Eve (female).  There are no other genders.  A person’s gender is assigned at conception and cannot be changed.  Now notice from Genesis 2:24 –”Therefore a man (male) shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife (female), and they shall become one flesh.”

The homosexual lifestyle gives us no reason to be proud.
